STEP 1. COMPLETE YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION

Have the following ready:

  • your resume

  • your cover letter

  • one letter of recommendation that speaks for your performing abilities

  • one letter of recommendation that speaks for your mentorship abilities *mentorship applicants only

  • your audition video (if applicable)

Mentorship opportunities (for students who have completed one year of college)

If you have completed at least one year of college, you are eligible to apply for our mentorship program. These positions are supplemented with a stipend. 

Are you past a year into college or age equivalent? Do you have relevant experience or interest in a particular area of a theatre company? Do you have strong leadership skills? Consider applying for a mentorship position with your online application to hone in your skills with qualified theatre professionals and receive a stipend for the summer. Simply say "yes" in your application and submit your essay and letter of recommendation for consideration. 

STEP 2. AUDITION

You have two ways to complete your audition process. 

AUDITION BY VIDEO

Complete your online application and submit your audition video with the following.

  • 2 contrasting songs appropriate for your voice range:

    • 1 song (16-32 bars) of the classical style or a classic musical theatre song

    • 1 song (16-32 bars) of the pop/rock musical theatre style

  • 1 contemporary monologue (under 1 minute)

  • 1 dance combo (1 minute) that shows your technique/style/tricks

*Upon completing your online application, you will be directed to sign up for an audition. YOU MAY IGNORE THIS STEP. (please see * below)

Video auditions must be received on or before MARCH 10th to be considered. After reviewing your video, we will let you know if we would like to see you at callbacks. Callbacks are March 21st-24th. 

AUDITION LIVE

Complete your online application to sign up for a slot at our Live Auditions. Prepare the following material and we'll see you there!

Live auditions and dance calls will take place January 4th and 5th.

  • 2 contrasting songs appropriate for your voice range:

    • 1 song (16-32 bars) from classical musical theatre rep or the golden era written before 1975

    • 1 song (16-32 bars) from a musical written after 1975

  • 1 contemporary monologue (under 1 minute)

  • There will be a required dance call

  • If you are interested in writing (songs, scripts, poetry, short stories, etc.), please let us know as we are working on developing a space to foster young writers interested in original creations

After December auditions, we will let you know if we would like to see you at callbacks in March. If you do not receive an invitation to callbacks via your video or live audition do not be discouraged. Simply sign up for a slot at our live auditions in March for another shot!
