
Dr. Michael McKelvey
Michael has been an active performer, musical and stage director on the Austin theatre scene for 17 years. Together with ginger Morris, he founded Summer Stock Austin in 2005. Michael is the Head of voice and an Associate Professor of Musical Theatre at Point Park University’s nationally-renowned Conservatory of Performing Arts. He was formerly the Coordinator of Music and Director of Musical Theatre at St. edward’s University. As a stage director, Michael’s credits include Urinetown, A Year with Frog & Toad, Footloose, Carousel, i love You because, City of Angels, Company, Sweeney Todd (b. iden Payne Award), evil Dead, The last Five Years, john and jen, Assassins (biP Award) and The Pajama Game. As a musical director, he has worked for the majority of musical producing companies in Austin with almost 70 titles on his resume. Some of his favorite musical direction credits are Company, Sweeney Todd (biP Award), Crazy For You (Austin Critics’ Table Award), Assassins (biP Award), Pajama game, Parade (ACT Award), Seven brides... (biP Award), The last Five Years, into the woods, and beauty and the beast. He is also an active composer writing scores for Austin Shakespeare, the Mary Moody northen Theatre and Scottish rite Theatre. besides his university duties and directing activities, Michael also serves as a faculty member for the Texas Arts Project, and before moving to Pennsylvania was the Artistic Director of The Performers’ workshop, a board member for Hyde Park Theatre, and an artistic associate with Penfold Theatre Company.

Ginger Morris
Ginger graduated with a BFA in Theatre from the University of Texas at Austin. She worked as Stage Manager or Production Manager for various Austin Musical Theatre Productions, where she managed the AMT Performing Arts Academy for six years. ginger has directed productions with St. edward’s University, Zilker Theatre Productions, Arts On real, Second Youth, and Austin Scottish rite Children’s Theatre. She has also been guest director and/or choreographer for several schools in central Texas and conducts theatre workshops all over Texas. She is founder/ director of Texas Arts Project, a nationally recognized arts boarding camp at St. Stephen’s School. ginger is currently working with her mentor and friend, Scott Thompson on his new broadway bound Musical, One For My Baby. She is a proud co-founder of Summer Stock Austin, where she has directed Footloose, West Side Story, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Little Shop of Horrors, Sweet Charity and The Producers.

Rachael Koske
Rachael is a Louisiana native and graduated from lSU with a b.A. in Theatre Performance. while at lSU, she also worked with the nationally recognized Swine Palace Productions. She was a co-founder of local theatre company Pass the Hat Productions as well as the lSU Undergraduate Theatre Alliance. rachael currently teaches and directs theatre at dripping Springs High School, and has served as Summer Stock Austin’s production company manager for the past four years.
