DIRECTORS

Ginger Morris Ginger Morris graduated from the University of Texas, Austin. She ran the performing arts academy for Austin Musical Theatre, where she produced the Annual All-Youth Summer Musical, which garnered B. Iden Payne Awards for “Best Play for Youth” for two consecutive years. Ginger has also directed productions for St. Edward’s University, Zilker Theatre Productions, Austin Scottish Rite Children’s Theatre, Arts On Real and Austin ScriptWorks. Ginger created and facilitated programs for NYOS charter school and the Zilker Academy @Footworks. Most recently, she has been collaborating on a new musical and is scheduled to co-direct the Zilker Summer Musical, 7 Brides for 7 Brothers. She directs productions for Dripping Springs School District and Trinity Episcopal School and holds the position of Artistic Director for Texas Arts Project at St. Stephen’s School.

Robin Lewis Robin Lewis is an accomplished dancer, musician and instructor. His Broadway credits include Fosse, Beauty and the Beast, and A Christmas Carol. Robin has worked with Broadway legends Ann Reinking, Ben Vereen, and Susan Stroman, and has performed nationwide. As an instructor Robin has worked with Camp Broadway, Austin Music Theatre Experience, Alabama Dance Academy, Conservatory of the Performing Arts, and Broadway Classroom. Robin is also an award winning professional figure skater. He has just come from performing in the national tour of the Tony Award-winning Mel Brooks musical The Producers.

Dr. Michael McKelvey Co-Founder & Producer,
Dr. Michael McKelvey, coordinator of Music at St. Edward’s University, received his Doctorate of Music Arts from the University of Texas. Performance credits include work with Austin Lyric Opera, The State/Live Oak Theatre, Austin Musical Theatre, Austin Shakespeare Festival, and Mary Moody Northen Theatre. He has been a musical and vocal director for Austin Musical Theatre, The State Theatre Company, Austin Playhouse and Zilker Theatre Productions. Michael won an Austin Critics Table Award for Best Musical Director for Crazy for You. He has served on the faculties of Concordia University, St. Stephen’s School, Broadway Texas/AMT Academy, and The Zilker Academy @ Footworks.

David Valdes David Valdes is currently the Director of Theatre and an acting teacher for the Theatre Focus program at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School. Additionally, he is head of Acting for their summer program, Texas Arts Project. Prior to coming to St. Stephen’s, he was Theatre Department Chair and Arts Facilitator at one of the top ten nationally ranked performing arts high schools in America. David was awarded “arts educator of the year” from the Milwaukee Magazine in 1998. He has directed many award winning plays and musicals in Milwaukee and many of his former students have gone on to study at the some of the top pre-professional acting programs in the country. He was hired by St. Stephen’s in 2000 to design and develop a curriculum, which is the Theatre Focus program. David has his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin and has MFA graduate training from Boston University and Minnesota State University.

Stacey Huston After graduating from UT with a Business degree, she attended The University of California at Irvine and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Dance, Theater and open-by-audition-only Choreography program. At UC Irvine and an away-program in NYC, she studied dance, voice and acting under such renowned greats as Susan Stroman, Uta Hagen, Donald McKayle and Harry Garland to name only a few. Stacey has been involved in partner dancing in one way or another for over 13 years. She tested out and is certified through American Style Gold levels and competed heavily in International Latin for 3 years. Her rankings include top six placements in Rising Star events in many national competitions like California, Nevada, Washington, Virginia, and Florida. Upon completion of her competing career in 1996, she was ranked 7th in the U.S. and 13th in the World in Rising Star Latin and Jive styles. Her vast experience includes Feature Films, Television appearances, Commercials, Special Gala events, and stage productions. Her most recent work has been 5 years with stage show productions in theaters and hotels in California, New York, Philadelphia, and finally overseas on cruise ships. She has quite literally been around the world and back.

Stuart Moulton is the Producing Artistic Director of Austin Cabaret Theatre. He has performed with and produced cabaret stars Carol Channnig, Eartha Kitt, Ann Hampton Callaway, Steve Ross, Sam Harris, Jason Graae, Michael Holland, Karen Mack, Kitty Carlisle-Hart, Karen Akers, Julie Budd, Sandra ReAves, Klea Blackhurst, Amanda McBroom, Donna McKechnie and others. Stuart was the Production Manager for Southern Arizona Civic Light Opera Company,  Co-Producer for The Invisible Theatre in Tucson, Company Manager for Austin Musical Theatre, and co-founder of play! Theatre Group. He ran the the State of Arizona's most successful children's musical theatre program for four years, through Catalina Foothills Community Schools. An accomplished performer and director, Stuart has performed across the United States and abroad. Often as a Broad.  He has appeared in productions of Oklahoma! (Will Parker), Paint Your Wagon (Sandy), Phantom (Young Carriere/Etienne), Pageant (Miss West Coast), You Should Be So Lucky (Christopher), A Chorus Line (Bobby), Kindertransport (The Ratcatcher), three different productions of La Cage aux Folles (Hannah, Odette, Dermah), and numerous other shows. He has directed and/or choreographed productions of A...My Name is Still Alice, Oklahoma!, La Cage, Bye Bye Birdie, Good News, Cabaret, Archy & Mehitabel, Pageant, Peter Pan,  as well as many revue and cabaret shows, including the ACT smash, D...is for Diva starring Coty Ross, which he also wrote. His one-man shows, Whatever Happened to Tina Louise?,  I Don't Mean Rhinestones.A Tribute to Carol Channing, and Life Upon the Wicked Stage have received critical raves.
