Staff
Sage Hare (Production Manager/Stage Manager 2005/06) has worked with Music Theatre of Wichita as Props Master and with Austin Scottish Rite Children’s Theatre as Stage Manager. She was with Broadway Texas/Austin Musical Theatre for several years. She has worn several hats in Austin as the Stage Manager for the University of Texas at Austin, State Theatre and Zachary Scott Theatre Center. She received her training in San Antonio at Trinity University.

Larry Lehew (Technical Director/Lighting & Sound Designer 2005/06) is the Master Electrician at the UT Performing Arts Center as well as a senior in St. Edwards New College program. Larry has spent quality time designing with various groups around Austin and outside Austin including AMT/Broadway Texas, Scottish Rite Children’s Theatre and Texas Arts Project. He works as a lighting programmer at CD and in Akron, OH. His credits include Cats and Beauty and the Beast.

Chase Staggs (Scene Designer/Shop Supervisor 2005/06) is Technical Director at St Edward’s University, Resident Scenic Designer for Salvage Vanguard Theater, and in Austin has worked with the Rude Mechanicals, Refraction Arts, Physical Plant, Tongue and Groove and Austin Shakespeare Co., to name a few. He has designed for the stage since 1988 and has recently been Art Director and Set Designer for film and television. Chase trained as a painter working in oil and acrylic and as a sculptor sculpting ‘assemblages’ from found objects as well as working in traditional mediums. He worked as puppet master for the 2000-2001 tour of Julie Taymor’s The King Stag and has designed puppets for companies in Houston and Austin. Combining a love for song writing with theatre experience, Chase concocted The Tower Massacre Musical, which ran for eighteen weeks in Austin in 1999-2000. Chase was just honored by the Austin Critic’s Table as outstanding Scenic Designer for his work in 2004 and 2005.

Robin Grace Thompson (Props Master) is an alum of St. Edwards University class of 2004. She recently completed (and is a proud member) of the Actors Theatre of Louisville Acting Apprentice Program 2005-2006. Robin would like to thank SSA for welcoming her home, and her prop crew for being Brilliant!!!

Mentorships
In addition to roles in the productions, college students are eligible to take on mentorship positions. As mentors, they work under the supervision of qualified theatre professionals as they take on leadership roles, guiding the other company members. Mentorships are stipend positions.
